    • Interesting - yet what do you do with poll results presented in a PowerPoint slide? Google docs allows you to create a poll form (actually, any kind of interactive form) you can e-mail people, or embed in a web page. When someone fills the form, the resultrs are automatically fed into Google docs spreadsheet, which you can then sort, edit, add comments to, and export in several formats to your computer (.txt, .csv, .pdf, .ods and .xls). And it's fully free, no matter how many people use the form, whereas with polleverywhere.com it's only free up to 30 answers. - post by Claude Almansi
    • I think it's more for the sms feature. You can quickly poll pple who don't necessarily have laptops or wireless. AFAIK googledocs doesn't have the sms feature... - post by aaron tay
    • I wonder how many students have phones and unlimited sms? This could be a great way to avoid making students pay for iClicker. However, free for audience of up to 30 students. Costs begin beyond that level. - post by Scot Evans

    • For those of us who don't have access to SmartBoards and responders! Cause we know all the kids have phones in their pockets even if it is against student policy. - post by Julia Alsirt
    • A lot of teachers are using this in place of clickers when covering a particular point. It is good to see if students are following what you are teaching. - post by Amy Payne
    • I actually like it for the web responses (providing there is a 1-1 computer policy or students are in a computer lab)...but the cell phone application is neat - post by Andrew Kerr
    • Don't go rogue with this. Get admin approval to use, and set specific use parameters with students. Kids are real responsive to the live updating of results and like any classroom management, effectiveness is based on structure and accountability.

Also if kids cannot text, they can write the results on a paper and teacher can manually add later, to make everyone feel part of experience. - post by Louis Guglielmo
    • Also, you must reset your poll for each class period. just right down the tally before you reset, and you can combine the class data offline. - post by Louis Guglielmo
